Earth Interactions Editor Search

AGU is looking for a dynamic, well-organized scientist with high editorial standards and strong leadership skills to serve as the Editor of Earth Interactions. Successful candidates will be individuals able and willing to stretch beyond their own areas of specialty so that the full range of topics is covered. The editorial term is 4 years.

Earth Interactions publishes papers that explore the interactions among the biological, physical, and human components of the Earth system. It is co-published by AGU, the American Meteorological Society, and Association of American Geographers.

EI considers the following kinds of papers:

Applicants should be respected leaders in the community, independent-minded, and even-handed. As Editor, you should be committed to further strengthen Earth Interactions as a leading journal and be proactive in attracting innovative contributions. The Union is interested in attracting papers in developing areas and ensuring that readers of Earth Interactions receive the best and most timely information possible.

As Editor you will:

A Search Committee evaluates candidates and conducts personal interviews with a small number of highly qualified individuals. The President makes the final selection and appointment. All AGU Editors serve at the pleasure of the President.
