Recovery of the Ozone Layer: The Ozone Depleting Gas Index
To help assess the degree to which ozone-destroying chemicals are declining in the atmosphere, scientists have created an index derived from atmospheric measurements of chemicals that contain chlorine and bromine at multiple surface sites across the globe.
