S.1497: Energy Independence Act of 2007
A bill to promote the energy independence of the United States, and for other purposes.
Establishes the National Commission on Energy Independence to conduct a comprehensive review of domestic energy policy. Requires the Commission to submit a status report in specified calendar years to Congress and the President on progress in meeting the long-term energy policy goal of energy independence.
