Publishing is an integral part of conducting research, but there are many aspects to it that can be confusing and mysterious. Early career scientists are often told to write up their findings without knowing and understanding the full context of what peer review and publishing entails. In this session, we will pull back the curtain on the peer review and publication process by discussing how to decide on where to publish your work, tips and tricks to get your manuscript ready for journal submission, crafting plain language summaries, and how to become a reviewer for a journal.
