Pathfinder
Scientists across the globe migrate to different countries in pursuit of exciting opportunities for graduate programs, postdoctoral positions, and research. While relocating can offer many opportunities to advance your research and develop your career; working across borders can present many challenges such as: securing a work visa, migrating with a spouse or children, overcoming language barriers, assimilating in new cultural environments, and coping with changing personal and professional networks.
This session is will continue the conversation started during EGU General Assembly. A panel of earth and space scientist who have migrated to advance their careers will share their experiences, discuss obstacles they have faced, and provide advice for how to make the most of a career opportunity abroad. Following short presentations by each panelist there will be a Q&A session where participants will be able to ask questions.
