Engagement in science depends on access, and language can be a major barrier to millions of North Americans. To ensure a welcoming, inclusive, and diverse community in the geosciences, we seek to develop a community of practice that focuses on Spanish–English bilingual geoscience communication within the United States and beyond. Presenters will highlight how the geoscience community develops and disseminates bilingual resources, develops and implements bilingual programming, and partners with multilingual groups or organizations to reduce barriers. Presentations will include evaluation results and research-informed best practices related to multilingual science communication. The session will include time for presenters to engage in discussion and collaboration.
