An Endorsed Decade Action program with the United Nations Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development, this biennial meeting of scientists, students, NGOs, journalists, policymakers and educators, will be held outside the United States for the first time in 2026, and we invite you to join us as a part of our growing international oceans community.

The Ocean Sciences Meeting is a scientific gathering that provides attendees with the opportunities to share research, collaborate across disciplines and create deeper connections with the diverse group of attendees from universities, research centers, and across the wider scientific community as they access the world-class content that this meeting offers.

The 2024 meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana brought together more than 5,500 ocean scientists and almost 6,000 total attendees from 60 countries, and more than 100 scientific organizations and oceanic-focused companies participate in OSM as partners, sponsors, or exhibitors.

We are excited to begin this new chapter of the Ocean Sciences meeting in a place that shares the urgency for collaboration and solutions while steadfast in its values for sustainability and equity.
