Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) offers unique opportunities for acoustic sensing of the environment.  In mid 2020, the National Science Foundation launched a Research Coordinating Network (RCN) to evaluate and expand its applications to a wide range of earth science and engineering processes.  The workshop will provide an overview of the technology and its principles and will also serve to develop collaborations across disciplines using DAS.  The technology overview will be followed by RCN Working Group presentations illustrating applications.
