Theory, Instrumentation & Measurements (surface energy balance and trace gas fluxes (e.g., CO2 and methane) using eddy covariance)
Theme 2: Environmental Challenges
Environmental Challenges (unique flux measurement challenges over different land cover types)
Theme 3: Insights from Other Methods
Insights from Other Methods (indirect methods- scintillometry, LiDAR & atmospheric sounders, relaxed eddy accumulation, large eddy simulation, virtual control volume, remote sensing, machine learning, water balance from lysimeter to watershed scale)
Theme 4: Broader implications
Broader Implications (quantification & communication of EC uncertainties, implications for water management, modeling ecosystem functions, and carbon and other trace gas flux measurement uncertainties)
Format Overview
Programming takes place Monday through Friday, and will consist of keynote talks, poster sessions, oral sessions, and breakout discussions. Wednesday will be a half-day of programming with an optional field trip in the afternoon. A welcome reception will be held on Monday and a conference dinner will take place on Thursday.
There will be an online component to the meeting. All oral presentations will be live-streamed only. No recordings will be available on-demand after the meeting.
