Dr. Dapeng Zhao (趙大鵬) is Professor of Geophysics at Tohoku University, Japan. His research fields include earthquake seismology, seismic tomography, and solid-Earth geophysics. His work has been recognized by the 2023 Seismological Society of Japan (SSJ) Award, 2023 Japan Geoscience Union (JpGU) Fellow, and 2024 AGU Fellow.
