I am a Junior Research Fellow currently doing doctoral studies on constituent aluminum and water-bearing minerals in oceanic sediments in subducting slabs and their subsequent changes in physical structure, thermodynamics, and electronic structure. Studying heterogeneities in mantle rocks through seismic signatures and predicting the regions of low shear velocity zones that form through the accumulation of subducted oceanic crust over Earth’s history.
