June Bacon-Bercey Scholarship in Atmospheric Sciences for Women
Received June 2021
Citation
Being awarded the June Bacon-Bercey Scholarship in Atmospheric Sciences for Women is an incredible honor. I share similar passions to those of the late meteorologist, June Bacon-Bercey, and her legacy as a former UCLA graduate, woman, and underrepresented minority in atmospheric sciences inspires me. Receiving this scholarship validates what I already know within myself, that I have the potential to contribute significant breakthroughs to the field of atmospheric science and be an advocate for underrepresented groups while fostering inclusivity in science.
