Mahinaokalani Robbins is a PhD student at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa working under the advisement of Dr. Aaron Pietruszka in his isotope geochemistry lab. She uses geochemistry to understand the volume, longevity, and connectivity of magma reservoirs through time. She is also passionate about incorporating ʻike kūpuna (ancestral knowledge and perspectives) of Kānaka Maoli (Native Hawaiians) in volcanology.
