I bring unique cross-cultural perspective as a South Asian Indian-born individual studying in the United States. My diverse academic and professional experiences across continents enhance my understanding of global challenges. With expertise in data science, particularly in machine learning and environmental impact analysis, I offer valuable insights into leveraging technology to address pressing issues. I am deeply committed to advocating for greater inclusion of underrepresented groups in science and technology. By supporting initiatives that promote diverse participation, I aim to create opportunities for a broader range of voices to shape the future of our field. Facilitating connections between students, early career researchers, researchers, and professionals across various disciplines and regions is a key priority. I believe collaborative efforts are essential for effectively and innovatively addressing global challenges. Encouraging the integration of emerging technologies and methodologies is another focus. I am dedicated to exploring and promoting cutting-edge approaches that can advance our understanding and provide solutions to global issues. My involvement in international conferences and workshops has underscored the importance of diverse perspectives in tackling complex problems. The student and early career voices on the Council are critical to the future of Earth and space sciences. Describe a time when you used your voice to inspire others to advance a cause, mission, or goal.

As a panelist for the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change COP26, I contributed to the discussion on "Challenges for Sustainable Cities for Climate Change Mitigation: Implementing SDGs for Sustainability - Role of Information Technology." I focused on how digital technologies can be leveraged to meet Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and enhance urban sustainability. By presenting real-world examples and innovative solutions, I aimed to inspire policymakers and practitioners to integrate these technologies into their strategies for climate action and urban development. By sharing insights from my experiences in data science and environmental impact analysis, I highlighted innovative approaches and real-world applications that could drive significant progress. My presentation emphasized the power of technology to enhance our understanding and responses to climate-related challenges. At the AGU Fall Meeting 2021, I presented on "(U43E-04) Interlinkages Between Open Science and Open Data: Emerging and Innovative Data Tools and Technologies for FAIR Data." My talk focused on how the integration of open science principles with open data practices can enhance the accessibility and usability of research data. I highlighted emerging tools and technologies that support FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable) data principles, emphasizing their potential to advance scientific research and collaboration. My mission is to advance sustainable solutions and foster innovation by leveraging cutting-edge technologies and promoting inclusive participation, ensuring that diverse voices contribute to tackling global challenges effectively.
