Sign up to Participate!
New for AGU24: Students who wish to participate in OSPA must sign up for the program when submitting their AGU24 abstract. Student presenters are not automatically signed up to participate in OSPA. All OSPA student presenters are required to:
- upload a digital version of their presentation in the online OSPA platform.
- to act as a reviewer and evaluate at least one other OSPA presenter at AGU24,
- to present at the day/time assigned, and
- to respond to communications (virtual or in-person) from OSPA reviewers.
Volunteer reviewers may indicate their interest in participating when submitting their abstract.
Participating in the Student Volunteer Program is a great way for students to get a behind-the-scenes look at how AGU manages such a large meeting while also earning free student registration for at least eight hours of volunteer time.
Applicants are not guaranteed a volunteer position. Only a few dozen positions are available, and volunteers are selected based on their suitability for the available positions. Once volunteer positions have been assigned, adjustments to the position cannot be made. Student volunteers who are unable to fulfill their minimum 8-hour commitment to the program will forfeit the opportunity and will not receive complimentary registration.
If you are receiving any other type of registration support from AGU, you are not eligible to participate in this program.
Contact AGU if you have questions about this program.
Applications will open early October and close early November. Position descriptions and shift times will be posted soon.
