The AGU24 Press Information Exchange is a community bulletin board for registered press to post information related to the meeting, including press releases, tipsheets, multimedia and news stories. AGU Media Relations will post press event slides, materials and recordings on this forum.
Log in to the Press Information Exchange with your AGU24 meeting credentials.
Find press releases and browse recommended presentations about geoengineering, polar change, strange weather, space weather, life in the Anthropocene and more from AGU’s news office.
Press briefings, roundtables and media availabilities will explore topics including the state of the Arctic, trash in low Earth orbit and applications of generative AI for science discovery. Press briefings and roundtables will be livestreamed for registered press and recordings will be made public on AGU’s YouTube page after the events.

Permission to record in the Poster Hall
Recording audio or video in the Poster Hall is prohibited unless permission is granted by contacting AGU Media Relations at [email protected]. Please explain your purpose, where and when you will record, the equipment you will use and who will assist you. Media Relations will clear you with security and provide you with a time- and location- limited badge granting you special permission for audio and video recording.
Press attendees with permission to record in the Poster Hall must obtain written consent from people who will appear in the footage recorded. B-roll that does not include poster details or in-focus faces is permitted without written consent. All attendees are expected to honor the preference of any presenter who has indicated “no photo.”
Permission to record scientific sessions, town halls, plenaries, keynotes and lectures
If you have a special need to record during a scientific session for television or internet broadcast, reach out to AGU Media Relations as early as possible at [email protected]. We may be able to provide you with official footage from the session that will meet your needs.
Recording exceptions for television and other special circumstances require 1) explicit approval of AGU Media Relations 2) the agreement of the speakers and 3) signs posted at the entrance to the event advising the audience that by attending they consent to being recorded for the agreed purpose. If AGU Media Relations approves your request, we will provide you with a time- and location-limited badge, arrange an escort if necessary, and notify security.
Camera crews
Camera crews require a staff escort. Contact AGU Media Relations at [email protected] to arrange parking, access and set-up for your crew. TV news camera operators do not require individual meeting registration while accompanied by AGU or convention center staff, but the primary reporter should register with AGU Media Relations.
