A complete nomination package consists of the following:
A nomination letter containing the nominator’s name, title, institution, and contact information. The letter should include details about the nominee’s significant contributions to the field of seismology. Letterhead is preferred.
The nominee’s curriculum vitae, that includes the candidate’s name, address, email, history of employment, degrees, research experience, honors, memberships and service to the community (committee work, advisory boards, etc.).
At least one but no more than three letters of support (separate from the nomination letter) with the supporter’s name, title, institution and contact information. Letterhead is preferred.
At least one but no more than three copies of the nominee’s published or preprint manuscripts, which illustrate the nominee’s quality of work.
2024 Review Timeline
- 17 January: Nomination period Opens
- 27 March: Nomination period Closes
- 20 May - 1 July: Selection committees review nominations
- 8 July: Section Award selection committees' recommendation reports are due
- 14 - 22 July: Section Presidents reviewing Section Award Committee recommendation reports
- 22 July: Deadline for Section Presidents to approve recommendations for the 2024 Section Award recipients
- TBD September: 2024 Section Awards recipients announced
