Application Package Requirements
A complete application package consists of the following:
Personal Statement
A personal statement (not to exceed two pages) detailing how this fellowship and meeting will benefit the applicant's educational and/or career goals.
Abstract
An abstract (not to exceed two pages) detailing the work to be presented at the meeting and a summary of the scientific importance of the applicant's work.
Proposed Budget and Budget Statement
A proposed budget and a statement of how the applicant will fund any difference between the award and your need.
CV and Transcripts
A curriculum vitae (CV) and transcripts.
Letters of Recommendation
One letter of recommendation from an advisor, mentor, or professional in the field.
Heads Up!
- AGU reserves the right to reject, without review, applications that do not meet all eligibility requirements
- Recipients are permitted to participate in selected meetings virtually
- Recipients will be required to submit receipts for claimed expenses, up to the amount of the award, within three months of the meeting
- Recipients are required to submit a brief (<300 word) report on the benefits of participation within three months of the meeting.
