Joshua Sokol was awarded the 2020 Walter Sullivan Award for Excellence in Science Journalism – Features at the AGU Fall Meeting Honors Ceremony, held virtually on 9 December 2020. He is recognized for the article, “The Hidden Heroines of Chaos" published in Quanta Magazine on May 20, 2019. The award is given “for excellence in feature reporting about the Earth and space sciences, with a deadline of more than one week.”
