Miguel Solano
Research Scientist, Sofar Ocean Technologies
As a Research Scientist at Sofar Ocean, I'm working to develop a data-assimilative fully coupled Ocean-Wave-Atmosphere forecasting system (using MOM6-WW3-FV3Shield) that runs in a containerized cloud-HPC setup to deliver accurate and reliable weather forecasts. With over 10 years of experience in numerical modeling of fluid dynamics, I have a strong background in ocean and atmospheric modeling, turbulent mixing, air-sea interactions, tides, software development, and optimization.
