Valerio Lucarini
Professor of Applied Mathematics, University of Leicester
Valerio Lucarini is professor of Applied Mathematics at the University of Leicester, where he coordinates the activities in Computational Modelling. He has supervised 15 PDRAs, 12 PhD students and >20 research students. He is author of more than 160 publications including two monographs. He received the 2010 A. Richter Award and the 2020 Richardson Medal from EGU, the 2018 LMS Whitehead Prize, the 2022 SIAM MPE Award, & the 2024 IUGG Keilis-Borok medal. He delivered the 2021 AGU Lorenz lecture.
