Cheryl Anne Fillekes completed her PhD in Geophysics at the University of Chicago and subsequent postdoctoral work developing numerical models of nonlinear processes in the solid and fluid earth. At IBM she ports systems software to the Mainframe and investigates the application of AI and Quantum computing to problems in glacial collapse and flood zone transportation logistics.
