Ticketed events can be added while in the process of registering for the meeting. To add events to a completed registration, follow the steps below:

1. Log in to register.
2. Click the "ADD SESSION/EVENTS" button from the dashboard. This will bring you to the Events Page. 
3. Select your preferred event. When you are finished making your selections press the "NEXT" button at the bottom of the screen. This will take you to the Review and Check Out Page. 
4. From here, select "PAY NOW" and add your payment. 

Cancellations

Ticketed events received by 14 November will receive a complete refund. No refunds will be issued for cancelled event registrations after 14 November.

Health & Safety

If you feel sick, please stay home. Take your temperature and self-monitor for symptoms before coming.

Climate Parables

AGU is teaming up with Future Earth's Anthropocene Magazine to take it's acclaimed science fiction series "The Climate Parables" from the page to the stage. The idea behind it is simple and powerful: The climate crisis is not just a crisis of technology, but also one of imagination - and part of the solution is to create more plausible, science-based visions of a future in which humanity gets its arms around some aspect of climate change.

The performance features several of our best stories set in the future, including tales by Kim Stanley Robinson, Eliot Peper, and Mark Alpert, performed by master storytellers and accompanied by stunning animations, a live string quartet, and more. 

The evening wraps up with a conversation we're calling "The Science Behind the Fiction." Renowned science fiction writer Kim Stanley Robinson and The Economist Editor Oliver Morton will discuss the stories, their technological feasibility, and political and economic hurdles.

Learning Workshops and Sessions are a great way to advance your science to explore practice skills, open science, community science, inclusive science or advocacy in small group settings. 

Choose from pre-conference learning workshops, AGU learning sessions, and post-conference workshops. Workshops are open to all AGU23 attendees and range between half-day or full-day sessions. Each pre-conference and post-conference workshop carries an additional ticket fee, with separate rates for students. The AGU learning sessions are open to all at no additional cost. 

Pre-Conference Learning Workshops

Pre-Conference Learning Workshops will be held Sunday, 10 December between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM for both in-person and online attendees. A ticket is required to attend these pre-conference workshops. Registration for the 10 December Learning Workshops will be available until 1 December. Registration for the January Learning Workshops will be available until 15 December.

As the sun rises, participants of this morning yoga session will find themselves in a peaceful and energetic atmosphere allowing them to start the day off on the right foot.

This group will be practicing a mix of hatha and vinyasa style yoga, perfect for beginning and intermediate attendees. Hatha yoga is the foundational style of yoga that focuses on physical postures and breath work, often characterized by slower-paced gentle movements but working toward improving flexibility and balance. Vinyasa yoga on the other hand offers a more dynamic and flowing style of practice. Vinyasa builds strength, flexibility and adds cardio into the session.
